Der Poggio Landis Top-Wein Chiuso del Lupo entstammt einer exklusiven, nur einen Hektar großen Parzelle auf 550 Metern Höhe. Die Gärung erfolgt spontan mit natürlichen Hefen, während der Ausbau in 30-Hektoliter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche stattfindet. Der Wein präsentiert sich in einem tiefen, dunklen Rubinrot. Das Bouquet ist geprägt von intensiven Aromen nach dunklem Wald, erdigem Unterholz und reifen Waldbeeren, ergänzt durch erfrischende Mentholnoten und feine florale Nuancen. Die saftige, süße Frucht wird von einer subtilen salzigen Note begleitet. Die Tannine sind präsent und kraftvoll, jedoch jugendlich und geschmeidig. Ein Wein mit beeindruckender Struktur, der auf Langlebigkeit ausgelegt ist und eine vielversprechende Zukunft vor sich hat.

The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Chiuso del Lupo is pressed from a one hectare parcel at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level and is a true delight and the proverbial diamond in the rough. The high altitude vines on the silty, clay-limestone Alberese soils really make the difference. The wine opens with a rich ruby colour that is vibrant and bright. The bouquet offers candied cherry, lilac, blood orange, cola and sweet earth. It stays true to the grape variety and offers added concentration, depth and complexity as it progresses.
